Strange Development

Spider-man: Friend or Foe was a fun game to develop, but we had to put it out on the new Xbox 360, but was tied down by the Playstation 2 and Wii.
The lead SKU was 360, but still had to focus on Wiimote controls. PS2 was graphically holding us back, and had to deal with making a different set of textures and animations if it was too heavy for the system.

Early sketches for icon styles and hud looks. I mostly focused on cartoony, and more light hearted.
Main menu/Front end. Look was eventually based off of Spiderman 3 movie.
Marvel was open to other looks early, but switched once the movie release date was known.
The look is based off of movie marketing, but still had cartoony elements to work with the level and character art.
Upgrade screens.
There was a hub for Spider man to run around when choosing levels, settings and rewards.
Various In game screens. Pause, Info/Tutorial, HUD

Mission Briefing Side Quest

I made all of the art assets for the mission briefing. Going off of a script from the designers, I had to come up with images, and a light storyboard.
I would hand off all assets to our animator and he would work in after effects to make it all happen! It fun super fun to come up with funny ideas
